Radiant Heat

Wouldn’t it be nice to wake up on a cold winter’s morning and walk into your kitchen or living room only to find your feet nice and toasty warm? That’s exactly what having radiant heat installed into your home would do. The radiant heating coils are placed beneath the flooring surface. In turn, the coils are directly connected to the boiler system, leaving your floors nice and cozy.

Radiant heat is more costly upfront as opposed to other heating units. However, in the long run, you would actually end up saving more monies because your heating bill would be less. And while it would be more effective to install the radiant heating system during the building phase of your home, there are ways to install the heating coils or tubes under your current flooring or wall panels.

Unfortunately, if you have any problems with your radiant heat system, it is more difficult to pinpoint where the problem is. Additionally, radiant heat takes more time to warm your home up because the water needs to be heated first. Then the water starts circulating throughout the coils or tubes. Finally your flooring, walls or ceilings will then gradually warm up.
